Our second day in Venice we visited a cafe and had Italian hot chocolate for breakfast. We then got aboard a boat bus and headed to the island of Murano, which is famous for their blow glass art. We watched some men working by a huge furnace forming glass into a decorative fish tail. We walked around the shops and hung out on the boat docks.
The island is filled with rows of buildings, all random bright colors, scrunched up together.
Next we visited the island of Burano. This was the cutest place I have ever been to. The island is filled with rows of buildings, all random bright colors, scrunched up together. The water flows in the middle of each street. We bought some gelato because you can’t visit Burano and not walk around with a cone of ice cream in your hand. When we had explored the island we sat down by the water and read/slept for a while.
When we returned to the main island we bought our dinner at a grocery store, gathered our things at the hostel, and headed for our bus station. On the way to the bus station we met a very nice couple from Oregon! We swapped traveling stories and bashed on each other’s sports teams (they were Texas fans *thumbs down*). We got to our station and boarded our 7 hour bus ride to Vienna, Austria.
